After hosting another scavenger hunt this past weekend, I have to give yet another huge shot out to our friends at Social Scavenger. Their app allows for so much creativity, while maintaining ease of use. The recent hunt I created was for our local Chapel Hill community, hosted by Love Chapel Hill. The hunt consisting of 30 challenges included trivia questions, photo/video posts and augment reality overlays. Players can also post their photos and videos to social media from within the app. Participants had 90 minutes to complete the hunt. As they finished and posted the answers to challenges, the judges monitored the posts and approved points in real time. This weekend's hunt was covered in an article by a local paper, The Daily Tarheel - {Local church holds fifth annual Downtown Scavenger Hunt } In short: this app is amazing! And the folks at Social Scavenger are accommodating and helpful. If you are in need of a team building activity, community or school event - consider building a mobile scavenger hunt with Social Scavenger. This app can also be used as an engaging activity for staff development in schools and districts. You can read more about using this learning platform and the specifics on how to create a hunt HERE. | A Few Challenges...One team HOPS on in to Sweet FrogThis team goes INTO a FRAT HOUSE to hear the Greek Alphabet... |
